
Kim Louis is an entrepreneur and non profit director in New Kensington, PA with 28 years experience working in the nonprofit sector and with at risk youth. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Trinity School for Ministry.
She has worked as a Behavioral Specialist in autism for Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and a Youth Ministry Consultant for the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh. She is the founding director of Sonward Youth Programs in New Kensington, PA, working with kids in the neighborhoods with the highest poverty rates in the county (sonwardyouth.org). She created a tiered mentorship program where kids can move from participants to interns to staff. Currently the daily operations of the program are partially run by staff who started out as program participants.
In 2019, Kim joined the staff of the national company, Forward Cities, where she spent 3 ½ years project managing grass roots efforts in New Kensington, PA and Jeannette, PA to level the playing field for diverse business owners to be involved in the downtown revitalization of both communities. She oversaw the launch of several pilot programs through this effort. She has much experience facilitating groups of diverse stakeholders to co-create strategies and programs.

She now provides one-on-one coaching for emerging business owners to help them overcome the barriers that are keeping them from their access to wealth. She also builds capacity of established organizations through facilitating interactive meetings to help stakeholders co-create solutions to the problems they are facing.
Kim has been married to her husband, Dave, since 2004 and together they are launching their four adopted adult and almost adult children into independence. You can usually find Kim and her dog, Toby, out and about meeting new people.
